Sorry Rick, you lost me on this one. I have to agree with Ace (in general not in his exact words). I would guestimate that this story is important to the majority of conservative readers/bloggers simply because of where it was published and the subject matter (military maniacs). It didn't show up on DU or Kos but on a supposed respectable liberal mag who have had problems with this type of thing in the past. Without national clout it seems to me that conservative bloggers have to "swarm" to debunk mis-truths and outright lies, especially when it concerns the military. I for one welcome the coverage. I understand your point but I'm afraid the only agreement your going to get is mainly from lefties (Sullivan will be linking to you soon). I do not claim to be able to see what's in your heart but for me your post came off as elitist and demeaning. Thanks for the great idea though- "Swarm Media" is kinda catchy.

"Thou doth protest too much, methinks". In my opinion Coulter does not spew the hatred and is not equivalent to say a Rosie O'Donnell or Rhandi Rhodes who have larger forums. And honestly, I'm a bit tired of seeing the Sheehans and "911 Widows" propogandarizing (word?) for the most part unchallenged. Of course we all grieve with them- but when you turn that grief into "absolute unqeustionable moral authority" then your grief not into a moral crusade but a self-serving politico. And being a self-serving politico is fine- just don't tell me I can't challenge and expose you.

All good points. Being a season ticket holder I'll be at the game today. Sunny and low 80's. What you failed to mention is that the the Bears defense is a water-downed version of the Bucs D (see Lovie Smith). The Bucs offense play this defense in practice daily. Chris Simms release is slow? we are not watching the same guy. He throws one of the prettiest deep balls in the leaque, although his decision making is not always "spot on". Look for Simms to be hyped for this game after Steve Young qustioned his manhood on national TV.
